TECHNOLOGY CHOICE

After reviewing the requirement specification document for the project, we identified that the most suitable approach would be to implement it as a Content Management System (CMS) due to the nature of the content and administrative needs. While evaluating CMS options, the client specifically requested that the solution be developed using the .NET platform. Based on this, we proposed Umbraco CMS, a flexible and powerful open-source CMS built on .NET, which aligns well with the project requirements and the client’s technology preferences.

THE CHALLENGE

The primary challenge addressed in this project was the need to centralize job and agency data from multiple third-party systems into a single platform. The client required a solution where agencies could be created and managed directly within the system, new jobs could be posted, and candidates could easily access and apply for these opportunities—all in one unified, user-friendly interface.

SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION

To solve the customer’s problem, we developed a centralized platform using Umbraco CMS on the .NET framework, which allowed seamless integration with third-party systems for importing job and agency data. The solution also included custom modules enabling administrators to manage agencies, manage the content of the website and job listings directly within the system. Additionally, we built a user-friendly interface for candidates to browse and apply for jobs, ensuring that all stakeholders—administrators, agencies, and candidates—could interact with the system efficiently and effectively, all within a single unified platform.
